India has great potential and it is very certainly apparent that we can develop our mind by obtaining skills and knowledge and using our education as a means to develop yourself; our nation for the benefit of the next generation to come. As we gradually rise out of the slavery of the Britisher and Muslim rulers for 250 years of humiliation and inevitable suffering, our country has reached at a very crucial cross road at which we must decide what should be ahead or at the back of our determinative drive for success.
Consequently, it is a known fact that the present world would not have come to such political, economic and social development in our present generation. It was through education that Gutenberg invented the printing machine that made available the uncountable numbers of materials and Literature that have served as eye openers during earlier centuries. It was through education that Issac Newton determined the principles and laws of gravity that made plane useful to us today; it was through education that Martin Lurther, Nelson Mandela, S C Boze, Sardar Patel and Abraham Lincoln broke down mysterious, terrible and suppressive system that dehumanized. It was through education that the Chinese amalgamated their skill during the reign of Mao in 1956. Yes it is through education that our present global world is gradually progressing from stagnation and strife to international peace!!!!!! Indeed, the mind must obtain a knowledge or a skill to empower the individual person. That we call education. Certainly, there is lesson to be learnt from those early humans who did inhabite the earth. Without these present sophistications and the present level of knowledge of the world, yet they used their minds to change the forces of nature which was against them and eventually changed their environments for the better. "Know thyself" which was said in our vedic culture years ago. This meant that a man must develop his mind as an initial step to progress.
When Indian admire the talents of citizens of other developed western countries and then deliberately and constantly refuse to see the motivating elements which trigger the emergence of such wholesome talents in these countries. It is equally ironical when some Indians sit in places like America and just criticize the government without recommending what to do instead and without contributing to the rebuilding of this country knowing that their country needs their talents and cooperation to uplift the state.
But lend me your ears!Education will never be a tool when our young girls just simply consent to being mere sexual tools and prostitutes with no regards to their values. Education will never serve as a useful tools when our old men sexually exploit little girls in the very age range of their own daughters. Education will never serve as a tool when our daughters and sisters are constantly sexually abused and harrassed by their own teachers and by their own employers at the various workplace. Education will never serve as a tool as our qualified teachers are not being paid by the government and private institutions for several months. Education can never be the tool when we inherently hate the progress of our fellow Indians and discourage every good product that is generated by another fellow Indian. If so, then it is clear that the minds still needs to be processed through the refinery of enlightenment.Socrates once told his followers that the greatest happiness a man will certainly find is when his mind receives the appropriate and needed knowledge for which he surely crave for his wholesome development.
It is my hope that we will all put aside our own humanistic selfish ideologies and embraced the nationalistic spirit of cooperation;service and deligence to duty as a citizen of this country. It is my hope that we will all speak after deliberations from our sober mind and reflection and not be drunk with the wine of envy and ignorance. We must realize that India needs us most in her reconstruction drive and in her recovery process. We must realize that this our country is at a crucial cross road of retrogression or progression. It is my hope that we can certainly be a generation which can be a bridge and a foundation on which our posterity can cross this painful valley of tribalism, corruption, religious discrimination, and crab mentality.
Permit me to rest my pen!!
